What are the dates for check in and check out?

School year: Check-ins for the fall will start the Monday before school starts. The office will be open 9am to 5pm Monday-Friday of that week. You may also check in the Saturday before school starts from 9am to 1pm. If you will not make it during office hours you will need to call and make other arrangements (435-752-7501). Check-out will always be the first Saturday in May.

Spring Semester: If you are buying a contract and moving in for spring semester, you will need to call and make arrangements with management to check in (435-752-7501). Check-out will always be the first Saturday in May.

Summer Semester: Check-ins for Summer will always be the first Saturday in May. If you will not make it during office hours you will need to call and make other arrangements (435-752-7501). Check-out for summer will be 2 Saturdays before school starts.

You may request specific roommates and/or a preferred apartment; however, assignments depend on availability. The quicker you apply, the greater chance you have of getting your request. 

Open registration will begin the first weekday in February. This year, that is Monday, February 2nd, 2026.

Yes, all utilities and high speed wireless internet are included.

There is a coin laundromat for each phase. Phase 1’s is located in the basement of the G building, and Phase 2’s is located in the basement of the P building. The washer is $1.00 per load and the dryer is $.25 for 10 minutes. We can exchange cash for quarters at the office.

There are no reserved parking spaces at Old Farm. If you are a resident of Old Farm you will receive a parking permit when you check in at no cost. Please read our parking policy for further parking information. You can find it here: https://digthefarm.com/parking

You may call the Old Farm office at any time day or night (435) 752-7501. If we do not answer please leave a message and we will get back to you ASAP. We will also accept emails reporting any issues at oldfarm96@gmail.com.

We accept cash or check in the office but you can also pay for rent through your online Room Choice account (processing fees apply). There are no processing fees for cash or check. 

Yes, rent is due up front.

School Year:
You have the option to pay rent in 1, 2, or 4 payments. You will choose a payment plan when you sign your contract. Regardless of payment plan, the first rent payment is due July 1, and if applicable, subsequent payments are due August 1, September 1, and October 1 according to the plan you have chosen. 

Summer:
You have the option to pay rent in 1 or 2 payments. Regardless of payment plan, the first rent payment is due April 1, and if applicable, subsequent payment is due May 1.

If you are paying with financial aid you must let management know before July 1 or when you sign up, and you must show written proof of the financial aid. If you need other payment arrangements you must contact Old Farm management (435-752-7501) before July 1st. Additional fees may apply.

Yes, vacuums are available for check out at the Old Farm office. We require an ID and they may be checked out for 1 hour at a time. We still recommend that you bring your own vacuum as we have a limited number of vacuums available to check out.

At the end of each contract period, cleaners are hired to re-clean portions of each apartment as needed to prepare for new tenants. You will be charged according to the amount of time the cleaners spend re-cleaning your apartment. Charges incurred in communal areas (kitchen, 1/2 bath, etc) will be split by all roommates, while charges incurred in personal areas (bedrooms, private bathrooms, etc) will be charged only to those assigned to that room. These cleaning charges will be added to your Room Choice account and taken out of your security deposit at the end of your stay at Old Farm. 

Cleaners are paid by Old Farm for a certain amount of hours, regardless of how long they actually spend cleaning, so they do not have an incentive to spend more time in your apartment than is necessary. If you are worried about cleaning charges, please ask a member of management to walk through your apartment with you to point out anything that needs to be re-cleaned, so you can fix it before check-out day. 

We want to give full deposits back and are always happy to talk to tenants about cleaning! We have cleaning supplies that we actually use for purchase in the office and are happy to give you tips/tricks that will help you not be charged for cleaning!
